Delete your account

Deleting your Donbu account removes your data. It can't be undone.

Delete it in the app

1. On Today, tap your initial at the top right to open Account.
2. Tap AI and your data.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. When the app asks Delete your account?, tap Delete account again.

The app clears Donbu's copy on that phone and returns to Sign in.

Want a copy first? Tap Download my data on the same screen before you delete. It makes a JSON file with your profile and every meal. Photos and chats aren't in it.

What gets deleted

Donbu removes these, in this order:

1. Your profile and every meal
2. Your Ask Donni chat memory
3. Every photo in your storage folder
4. Your sign-in account

If deleting stops partway, try again. It picks up where it stopped. Donbu refuses any photo upload that arrives after you delete your account.

What stays for a while

Copies in our providers' backups expire on their normal rolling schedule.

No longer have the app?

Email support@donbu.app from the address you sign in with, and ask us to delete your account. If you signed in with a different address, such as an Apple Hide My Email relay address, tell us which one.

We confirm, delete the same data the in-app button deletes, and reply when it's done.

Deleting the app keeps your account

Removing Donbu from your phone doesn't delete your account or your data. Use the steps above, or email us.
